Functions

To formulate and implement policies on multilateral and regional trade and economic cooperation, to handle relations with multilateral and regional trade and economic organizations according to the division of work; to organize the implementation of the strategy of the Free Trade Area; to lead other organizations in multilateral and regional trade negotiations as well as FTA negotiations with foreign countries and regions; to be manager on the Chinese side in economic and technical cooperation with UN and other international organizations; to manage multilateral or bilateral gratuitous aid and donations to China (excluding grants by foreign governments and international financial organizations provided under financial cooperation ).
