Taiwan’s Largest Travel Agent Delegation Investigated in Sichuan after the Quake

Taiwan is Sichuan’s largest entry tourism market. At the invitation of Sichuan Provincial Tourism Bureau and Chengdu Cultural and Tourism Development Group, 92 Taiwanese travel agents and mainstream media representatives headed by Yao Daguang, Director-General of Taiwan Association of Travel Agents a few days ago, arrived in Chengdu and kicked off a five-day investigation of Sichuan provincial tourism recovery and feasibility of organizing tour. It was known that it is Taiwan’s largest travel agent delegation after the quake.

The delegation will conduct a professional investigation of Sichuan provincial famous scenic areas such as Jiuzhaigou Valley, Mount Emei and Dujiangyan, and have an overall understanding of post-quake tourism aspects including food, shelter, travel, shopping and entertainment. Taiwan travel agents will resume Sichuan tourism after the determination of safety and feasibility via investigation.
